The best water bottles can help your kids stay hydrated when they’re not drinking it, thanks to a new study.
The new research from the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Department of Biological Sciences looked at water bottles that contained a mixture of carbon dioxide and a liquid that helps the bacteria in the bottle break down carbon dioxide.
This carbon dioxide, when mixed with water, forms a liquid called carbon dioxide-water.
Water that contains carbon dioxide is more likely to keep your child hydrated, the study found.
Carbon dioxide-containing water bottles are also more likely than their non-carbon dioxide counterparts to be recycled.
But there’s still a bit of work to be done.
First, it’s important to know which bottle is the right one for your child.
In some cases, parents might be able to switch their water bottle to a carbon dioxide bottle instead of a water bottle for the same reason.
Second, it might be helpful to think about how you use your carbon dioxide water bottle as a whole.
For example, if you’re drinking it in your car, a carabiner can help keep your bottle clean and the bottle won’t leak.
Or you could use the bottle in your child’s hand to take a sip while they’re playing outside.
Third, even though some children will be more likely if they drink from a carbon-neutral bottle, that doesn’t mean you should be drinking it every day.
That’s because carbon dioxide isn’t just bad for your health.
When your body converts carbon dioxide into carbon dioxide (CO2), it can increase the level of oxygen in your blood, which can increase your risk of having heart attacks and strokes.
“When you drink carbon dioxide it can also increase your chance of a heart attack,” says Dr. Jessica M. McBride, a professor of pediatrics at the UW-Madison.
And kids who drink too much carbon dioxide have a higher risk of developing asthma.
So you might want to avoid carbon dioxide in your drinking water, even if you don’t have any symptoms.
If you’re concerned about how much carbon-negative water your child drinks, McBride recommends keeping the bottle with you to drink more water when you get home.
