Best Time to Move Furniture: How to Choose the Right Day and Hour
Choosing the date affects the price, the speed and your comfort. There is no single perfect time, but there are rules that help you choose.

The hour
Early morning is usually best: the roads are quieter, the workers are fresher, and there is time for loading, unloading and assembly on the same day. Avoid peak hours on the main roads, especially when moving between two cities.
The day
Peak days, holidays and busy seasons (such as the start of the school year, when many families move) may need earlier booking. If you are flexible, a midweek day is usually easier for booking and traffic.
Early booking
The longer before the date you book, the wider your choice of date and hour. We agree the date and the price with you before loading, and we take a 30% deposit to confirm the booking.
Prepare to suit the date
- Check the compound entry permit and the permitted moving times.
- Book the service elevator if there is one.
- Prepare the new place: electricity, water and finishing work.
- Review the preparation checklist.
