The Moving Agreement: What Should Be Written Before You Book?

A written agreement does not mean a complicated contract; it is enough to write what you agreed clearly on WhatsApp or on paper. These clauses protect you from disputes on moving day.

Why write the agreement?

Because it prevents the price changing or an agreed service being forgotten, and makes it easy to go back to what was agreed if there is a dispute.

The clauses you should write

The two addresses: pickup and delivery, with the floor and whether there is an elevator.
The date and time.
The services: packing, dismantling and assembly, crane, storage.
The total price and what it includes.
Payment: the deposit amount, and when and how the rest is paid.
The number of workers and trucks and the type of truck (closed).
The condition of important pieces before loading and photographing them.
The guarantee and compensation terms.
Changing the date or cancelling.
What is not moved, or what you carry yourself: cash, jewelry and important documents.

The price and what it includes

Write the total price, and write whether it includes packing, dismantling and assembly, and the crane. Any possible extra, such as an additional floor, waiting time or extra pieces, must be mentioned before loading, not after. With us, the agreed price is the final price with no hidden costs, prices start from EGP 1,200 and the final price is set after the inspection. For details see what determines the moving price.

Payment

We take a 30% deposit to confirm the booking and the rest after the move is completed, in cash or by InstaPay. Do not pay the full amount in advance, and keep a message or receipt proving what you paid.

Condition of items and the guarantee

Photograph important pieces before loading and at delivery with the team, and read the guarantee terms before paying. If there is breakage or a scratch, see what to do if an item is broken during the move.

Tell the company all the details

Do not hide a high floor, a narrow staircase or a small door, because hiding them means the price or the plan changes on moving day. The more accurate the information, the clearer the agreement.
