What to Do If an Item Is Broken During the Move

Despite every precaution, an item can be damaged during a move. What matters is knowing what to do right away and how we handle the situation.

Immediate steps

  • Tell the team leader at that very moment, before the team leaves.
  • Photograph the item and the damage from several angles.
  • Keep the item, its parts and whatever it was wrapped in. Do not throw anything away.
  • Check the rest of your items at delivery, not afterwards.

Documenting condition before the move

Before loading, we record the condition of important pieces with photos together with you. This shows their condition before the move and makes it easier to establish what happened.

How we compensate you

If damage happens during the move, we compensate the customer either financially, or with an apology and a discount on future moves, depending on the case, the value of the item and what we agree with you.

How to contact us

Send the photos on WhatsApp to 01050715150 with a description of what happened, so we can reply and agree on a solution.

How to reduce the chance

Wrap fragile items, send photos and measurements before the move, and tell us about valuable pieces so we can take extra care. See how to pack furniture.

Frequently asked questions

Does compensation cover everything?

We review each case with you using the photos we recorded before loading, and agree on the right solution.

When should I report it?

As soon as you notice the damage, and before the team leaves if possible, because that speeds up the solution.
