Moving an Apartment for the First Time: Where to Start and How to Calculate the Budget
Moving for the first time can seem complicated, but it becomes simple if you split it into clear steps well before the date.

Start by listing the furniture
Write a list of the large pieces (bedrooms, kitchen, appliances) and the approximate number of boxes, and photograph the large pieces. The list and photos help us set the price accurately, and our inspection is done by visit or by sending photos on WhatsApp.
Decide what moves and what does not
A move is a chance to get rid of damaged or unused pieces. Every piece you move adds to the volume and cost of the move, so sell or donate what you do not need before packing.
Calculate the budget
- The cost of the move itself, which depends on the amount of furniture, the distance and the floor.
- Packing, if you are not doing it yourself.
- Dismantling and assembly of bedrooms, the kitchen and air conditioners.
- A crane if the floor is high or the pieces are larger than the stairs.
- A margin for emergencies.
Our prices start from EGP 1,200, and the final price is set after the inspection.
Book the date
Book early and choose a date away from the rush. We take a 30% deposit of the total to confirm the booking and the rest after the move is completed, paid in cash or by InstaPay.
Before moving day
- Empty the drawers of valuables and documents and carry them with you.
- Ask about moving permits and the elevator at both places.
- Review the preparation checklist.
Frequently asked questions
How long does the move take?
It depends on the amount of furniture, the distance, the floor and the dismantling and assembly services, and we estimate the duration for you after the inspection.
Should I wrap my furniture myself?
You can, but wrapping with bubble wrap, stretch film and cardboard reduces scratches and breakage, and it can be requested as an extra service.
