Moving Between Floors in the Same Building: When Do You Need a Company?

Moving to another floor seems simple, but large pieces and narrow stairs can cause breakage, scratches and injuries.

Do you need a company?

Ask yourself: do the pieces fit through the door and the stairs? Is there an elevator? How many heavy pieces are there? If the answers are not reassuring, professional moving costs less than breakage and injury.

Stairs and the elevator

If the elevator is small, ask about its measurements, and if there is none, count the floors and the heavy pieces. Send us photos of the door and the stairs and we will decide whether dismantling and carrying is enough or a crane is needed. See also moving from high floors.

Protecting the building

The stairs and the elevator are shared property. We wrap pieces before they leave to reduce scratches, and we coordinate with the neighbors and building management.

The price

It depends on the floors, the pieces and the dismantling and assembly, and is set after the inspection, by visit or by photos. Our prices start from EGP 1,200.

Do I need a crane?
